Welcome to Latin!
This year we begin your formal study of Latin with lots and lots of time spent on mythology, daily life, history, and vocabulary.
Peruse the website to see what Latin has to offer and check out the manifesto, too. You've just made your first step into a larger, richer, more beautiful world.

This year we will read from book one of the Oxford Latin Course (the red one) and the rules and expectations will be the same as for all other classes and listed on the home page. In brief: be ready for pop quizzes (more fun than scary), be kind to one another, pay attention to what we're doing, and try your best. Enjoy the year as we read about the Roman poet Horace as a boy, learn like the ancients, and take cool 'photo definitions' we think translate Latin vocab words into art. I wish I could take this course!
